Cell7 has been a fixture on the Icelandic hip hop scene for over a decade. She is of Filipino descent and came of age as a defiant and joyful outsider in the Icelandic music industry. Cell7 is known not just for her skilful lyricism and impeccable flow but also for legendary live performances and an uncanny ability to get a crowd dancing and singing—even in the arctic cold of Reykjavík, where an audience’s default position is aloof observation.

This powerful track marks a new artistic direction in Cell7’s often upbeat repertoire. In this song she dives into the raw emotions that come with a difficult breakup, the struggle to “fix” things that have already fallen apart, and, finally, self-actualization and finding the strength to move on. “Fix It” is a standout track from her forthcoming album, and it showcwases personal growth and a new vulnerability that is both relatable and inspiring.

The track also underscores Cell7’s remarkable versatility, as she not only produces but also sings and raps on the track, her voice perfectly capturing both vulnerability and strength.
